Hello, it’s me Katherine, I’m back!
The last couple of months have been so busy I haven’t had time to sit down and write. This is all down to us moving house at the end of May, on my Birthday to be precise, so that definitively was a Birthday to remember…
I’m still in the process of decorating and furnishing my new house but I thought I would share some of my favourite online home websites. I buy almost all of my interiors stuff online now, preferring to spend my time at home on the sofa with my laptop and a glass of wine in hand rather than trawling through the crowds paying a fortune for parking.
If you are the same and are looking for some new places to spend your hard earned cash, you’ve come to the right blog post!
I came across Swoon Editions reasonably recently have already ordered a statement piece of furniture…and believe me, I could have bought more! Swoon source direct from the makers and sell only a limited number of each item. They have unusual pieces that will make your home stand out, and at good prices.
My current favourites are of course the piece I have ordered: This gorgeous TV unit which is coming in September (please hurry).I also have my eye on this amazing cabinet… I just need to work out where to put it!
The thing I love about John Lewis is the delivery service. They are super quick and efficient and they change any faulty items without hesitation.
I purchased this amazing standing lamp which is such a statement piece in our living room, I have my eye on the table lamp too! I also bought thissmoke glass lantern which looks great on my fire place, and I want every single size!
Cox and Cox is one of my most visited online stores for home accessories and whenever I am looking for something in particular I normally head straight here.
Next are upping their game when it comes to home furnishing. We have a next Home next to where we do our weekly food shop and I just love going in there each week looking at all the new arrives.
My favourite pieces has to be their industrial furniture, they nail it every time. On my never ending wish list, my next purchase will be these bargainMongolian cushions. They are the cheapest I found and great quality.
I have recently become obsessed with this shop! It is an American brand that has opened up in London and luckily they sell online too for us peeps that live outside the big smoke.
I literally want everything on this site, I really have to contain myself. The wish list is so long, but for now I have got my coffee table and shelving unit, which is now not available it was that beautiful but is on John Lewis. Their bedroom furniture is to die for I wish I had more room to put everything! My favourite furniture piece at the moment is this chest of drawers which also has matching bedside tables, and available in other colours.
Another one (possibly the first in fact) to go straight to the makers and cut out the middlemen of high street stores and expensive designers.Made.com do have a showroom but everything is beautifully presented on their website. For me Made.com has the best delivery service. It is super quick turnaround, I received my order in 2 days.
Sofas of dreams. I love how you can basically create your own sofa and customise it to your décor. I also ordered lots of free fabric samples to help me pick the perfect colour.
I’m still waiting for my dream sofas to arrive, but the countdown is on and they should be here next week (everything crossed). I ordered a peacock blue cartwright sofa and a grey cartwright sofa. I AM SO EXCITED, they will definitely be Instagram worthy.
Before finding my bed I didn’t realise how hard it was to find my perfect storage ottoman bed. Like Arlo & Jacob, I ordered many fabric samples and they also provide helpful booklets about the headboard, bed and mattress you’re interested in, to make that final choice a bit easier and less stressful.
I went for the Foxtail King Size Ottoman bed in Minx.
