Laura Mercier Flawless Fusion – shade buff
Okay I admit, this is a late purchase of 2017 but It has quickly become my favourite foundation. Yes, I’m going to say this is my holy grail foundation! It gives insane coverage without the cakey look. The finish is a natural matte finish which lasts on my skin ALL DAY, without any touch ups, it literally looks exactly the same 12 hours later. Crazy. The shade buff is so perfect for me it just sinks into my skin and looks so natural. Every time I wear this foundation I know I’m going to have a good day.
Hourglass Bronzer – Radiant bronze
The bronzer that always saves the day. Winter is not my skins friend, it makes my skin so dry and dull. I do love a matt foundation for a flawless base all day so this bronzer gives me that luminosity my skin so desperately needs. In one swipe my skin goes from drab to fab. I sometimes feels I don’t even need highlighter (shocking I know), as this bronzer is so luminous. My favourite thing about this bronzer is it’s untectable on the skin. The powder literally melts into the skin leaving a radiant glow.
Marc Jacobs Enamored Hi-Shine Gloss Lip Lacquer
I love a lip gloss. I apply lip gloss every 30mins (no exaggeration) because my lips get so dry and sore. The Marc Jacobs lip glosses are so beautiful, they give the lips that super glossy look without the stickiness. I love how the lip gloss has just the right amount of pigmentation for you to wear alone or over lipstick, and the scent of mint is an added bonus. My favourite shades are, Pink Flamingo, Pretty Thing and Hey You.
Tom Ford Bronzer Brush
You would think a brush isn’t a big deal, but the Tom Ford bronzing brush literally changes your life! I was never happy with how my bronzers applied, I always thought it either looked patchy or never showed up on my skin like I desired. I am a big fan of Jaclyn Hill and literally buy everything she uses, so when she recommended this brush I didn’t think twice about buying it (although the price tag made my bank account cry). This brush applies bronzer flawlessly and effortlessly, you will not be able to live without it. The bristles are so soft but dense at the same time you can really build up the colour of your bronzer without it looking overdone. Also I do feel super fancy using this brush.
Benefit Precisely my brow pencil – shade 6
How did I survive for so long without this pencil? The nib is perfectly fine and therefore incredibly precise. The spoolie on the other end is the perfect size for brushing my brows into shape and the pencil is the perfect length and weight too. The texture is creamy enough to impart good colour payoff without too much pressure, but waxy enough to stay in place all day. This has quickly become my go-to brow product. Twist-up super-fine pencils tend to be my favourites as they don’t need sharpening and are more precise than traditional pencils. The fine pencil creates a far more natural finish than gels or thick, pigmented pencils.
Benefit Gimmie Brow – shade 5
I remember when brow mascaras first hit the mainstream beauty market about 5 years ago, I thought the idea was utterly ridiculous and that I would never use them. Little did I know! I now love brow mascaras and benefit’s brow-building formula is one of my favourites. This product is great for quickly running through your brows to create an illusion of thicker brows, and I love how it makes the brow hairs separated and fixed into place.
Charlotte Tilbury flawless finish powder
First of all the packaging is so sleek and gorgeous and looks expensive (maybe because it is), however the powder is definitely worth the hefty price tag. This powder is a life changer. If you have dry to combination skin and struggle with powder clinging to your dry patches, look no further. It’s the most finely-milled compact powder I have ever felt. It sets foundation perfectly without making your lovely glowy base super matte and flat, and even controls the oils on my chin all day! The powder is undetectable on the skin and I have a good makeup day every time I wear it.
Laura Mercier hand cream – Ambre Vanille
This stuff smells amazing. The scent lingers for hours so it’s also a great substitute for perfume, it’s that strong. Laura Mercier has other scents available but this is far my favourite. I also have the body cream which I have reviewed before and I love it so much I had to buy the hand cream. I get super dry hands from my weight training at the gym so I need a hand cream that does the job. This certainly delivers. The cream is super creamy and luxurious feeling, and it sinks into the skin beautifully without leaving any greasy residue.
