REVIEW – Coloured Raine Queen Of Hearts Palette ðŸ‘¸â¤ï¸

It’s official, I have a obsession with eyeshadow palettes! Yes I probably have these colours already in my collection, but together in one convenient palette? No. So after months of fighting against myself I finally bought the Queen Of Hearts Palette from Coloured Raine. Christmas present to myself 🙂

The palette contains a mixture of warm toned reds, pinks, purples, oranges and coppers, with splashes of neutrals for transitions. It’s the perfect winter palette! There’s a range of finishes, 6 Mattes, 5 Foils and 1 Shimmer. I love the colour scheme of this palette. It makes creating different eye looks so easy. You can create a very simple everyday look to full on glam. The matte eyeshadows are super easy to blend while still holding onto the rich colour pay off. The foils are super intense and keep the intensity all day without fading.

The palette is housed in a slim, cardboard palette. It had a more ornate exterior sleeve (with the gold foil design), which I would have loved to have seen on the actual palette, as the actual palette is just a plain black carboard packaging which didn’t impress me. However as soon as you open up the palette the colours make up for that.

Crown – A classic brow bone and inner corner shimmer. This is a beautiful pure white shimmer.

Royal Highness – The first foil in the palette, but the one which has the least reflection. This is a pretty warm taupe shade that looks really pretty all over the lid.

Your Majesty – Another foil shade which can have a really intense reflection on it in the right light. This is a  gorgeous firey orange copper shade.

Princess – In the pan princess looks like a pretty dusky pink matte, but on the eye/swatched it’s much more brown. Very buttery and one of my favourite crease colours.

Empress –  WOW. Empress certainly impresses, an intense pigment of burnt orange matte that looks a bit bright in the pan, but creates a gorgeous warm tone on the eye and compliments the other colours surprisingly well.

Queen Mother – A gorgeous purple foil with good pigmentation. Purples have quickly become my favourite eye shadow colours. This colour paired with Princess is a match made in heaven.

Heir – The palest matte in the palette, this sits somewhere between a peach and a beige and is good for buffing out any harsh edges.

Royal Perogative – A gorgeous warm medium brown Matte shade that pays off well. Depending on the look I like to use this either all over the crease for a smokier look, or on the outer corner for something slightly more toned down.

Noblewoman –  A very rich red and on the eye is very foily in texture and looks very pretty like a glistening cranberry.

Ladyship – This is a really pretty purple and looks nice on the bottom lash line.

Duchess – The darkest matte, this is a cooler chocolate brown. Really nice formula and looks lovely on the outer corner.

Dethrone – This is the coolest shade in this warm toned palette, and it is a intense cool toned foil which looks amazing all over the lid for a smokey eye.

Overall this palette is beautiful and you can create endless looks. The quality of the shadows are top notch and easy to work with so anyone can use this palette from beginners to professionals. I purchased my palette from BeautyBay.com for £45.
