Marc Jacobs Beauty Snake Charmer 5-Piece Petite Enamored Hi-Shine Gloss Lip Lacquer Collection contains five miniature-sized glosses. I purchased mine from John Lewis for £29, which I think is a steal! The normal size glossed sell for £22. All shades are part of the permanent range, so they can be purchased individually or repurchased should you favour one. Per the brand, the formula is supposed to have “maximum colour and brilliance” that “never feels sticky” and has mint scent.
The Hi Shine Enamored glosses are one of my favourite lip gloss formulas EVER. They are non- sticky, super pigmented and smooth. What I love the most is how glossy they are, which creates an illusion of plumper lips. I really like the array of colours to try in this set, as they wouldn’t necessary be my first choice and it makes me try something new. I don’t own any of the colours in this set except for Sugar Sugar, which I think is a beautiful shade that compliments any look. What I also love is the minty scent which in my mind freshens up my lips If you love a high shine finish, you will not be disappointed with these, I’m truly amazed at how opaque they are as well. I think Ch-Ch-Changes is a really unique shade that can be worn as a gloss and lip topper. I really like to dab a little at the center of my lips for the illusion of fuller lips.
I think this would make a great gift for the beauty lover or for anyone that wants to try out the Marc Jacobs lip gloss formula. I bought this for a gift to myself! However if you are stuck in what to buy someone for Christmas, this set if beautiful and you truly can’t beat this formula.
The shades available in the set:
Sugar Sugar – is light peach with warm, orange undertones and very fine gold pearl. The gloss had semi-opaque pigmentation that applied fairly evenly to the lips. This is a classic case of less is more, if you apply to much it can look goopy.
Skin Deep – is a medium, rosy beige with neutral-to-warm undertones and a cream finish. It had nearly opaque colour payoff in a single layer, and would be beautiful over a nude matt lipstick. Great colour for everyday wear.
Ch-ch-changes – is a rich, coppery brown with warm, orange undertones and shifting green-to-bronze pearl. It had good colour coverage in a single layer with a smooth, lightweight texture that was non-sticky. This colour is very unique and would look amazing on any skin tone. Great lip topper too!
Raspberry Beret – is a medium purple with warm, pink undertones and a cream finish. It had medium colour payoff in a single layer, which applied fairly evenly and did not sit in my fine lines, which I find is rare for a bright lip gloss.
Boys Don’t Cry – is a medium-dark purple with warm, pink undertones and a cream finish. It had medium coverage which applied evenly on the lips. This colour looks scary but once applied to the lips it is really flattering.
